PDF flattening

Flatten PDFs Online

Choose between editable export and flattened export. Flattening bakes visible edits into the PDF pages so the final document is easier to share and harder to accidentally change.

Workflow

  1. Open and edit a PDF.
  2. Add form values, text, signatures, stamps, notes, or annotations.
  3. Open the export menu.
  4. Choose Flattened PDF, flattened split PDFs in ZIP, or flattened individual PDFs.

Controls

  • Flattened export bakes form values, added text, signatures, and annotations into pages.
  • Editable export keeps form fields fillable and added items as PDF annotations.
  • Split exports support editable and flattened output.

Local editing

PDF editing runs locally in the browser with JavaScript and WebAssembly. PDF files, text, filenames, form values, signatures, and user-entered content are not uploaded.
